HC Deb 07 June 1917 vol 94 c337
99. General CROFT

asked the President of the Board of Education whether his attention has been called to the suppression of the "Kew Bulletin" by the Controller of His Majesty's Stationery Office; and whether he was consulted before this journal was suppressed?

The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of EDUCATION (Mr. Herbert Fisher)

The Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew are not under the administration of the Board of Education, and the Board were not consulted as to the suspension, of the publication of the "Bulletin."

General CROFT

Has the right hon. Gentleman's attention been called to the fact that the purchasers greatly value this publication, and will he look into the matter?

Mr. SPEAKER

The right hon. Gentleman cannot answer that question without notice.

Mr. DEVLIN

Is the "Kew Bulletin" any friend of the "Skibbereen Eagle"?
