HC Deb 21 November 1916 vol 87 c1197
25. Commander WEDGWOOD

asked he Secretary of State for War whether he will explain why sums of money are being paid by the War Office to asylum authorities in respect of the care and treatment of uncertifiable soldiers invalided through nerve-strain who are still retained in the Army, in view of the statement recently made on behalf of the War Office that the so-called war hospitals in which these men have been placed are under the sole control of the War Office and that soldiers when so affected are not subjected to asylum administration; and will he name a date at which the soldiers will be removed from a position which is open to such objection?

Mr. FORSTER

I would refer the hon. Member to the answer given on 21st March to the hon. Member for Roxburghshire.
