Mr. WEDGWOOD

asked the Postmaster-General whether women were employed during last Christmas at the Tunstall office on duties terminating at times varying from 9.30 p.m. to 11.40 p.m.; whether they were released from duty without conveyance or escort; whether a woman was also employed at this office on 23rd and 24th December who was not a member of the staff; and, if so, what payment was made for her services?

The POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. Herbert Samuel)

I am making inquiry, and will communicate with the hon. Member.
