HC Deb 03 July 1911 vol 27 c797
Mr. LANSBURY

asked if the Prime Minister is aware that the public elementary schools will break up for four weeks' holiday at the end of July, that during these holidays some 140,000 school children now being fed by the education authorities will during those holidays cease to be so fed; and whether, in order to prevent hardship and suffering on these children, he will reconsider his decision in reference to the Provision of Meals Act Amendment Bill and allow the House sufficient time to discuss and pass the Bill?

The PRIME MINISTER

No, Sir; I am afraid that I cannot reconsider my decision on this matter.
