HC Deb 23 February 1910 vol 14 c206
Mr. WEDGWOOD

asked the Postmaster-General when it is proposed to commence work on the new post office at Newcastle-under-Lyme; when is its completion anticipated; and whether he is aware that the present building has been condemned as unsuitable and unhealthy?

The FIRST COMMISSIONER of WORKS (Mr. Harcourt)

It is anticipated that building operations will be commenced in May next, and that the new building will be ready for occupation by Midsummer, 1911. The sanitation of the present post office building has been improved, and is considered to be in a satisfactory condition.
