HC Deb 10 May 1909 vol 4 c1424
Mr. WEDGWOOD

asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he could state how far the construction of the Northern Nigerian Bail-way has now been completed; whether the estimated costs have, so far as worked, proved accurate; and when it is expected to reach Zungeru?

Colonel SEELY

I understand that the Baro-Kano Railway has been constructed for about 80 miles from Baro, and that the estimated cost has not been exceeded. I am unable to state when Zungeru will be reached by the railway; possibly about the end of the year.
