§ Mr. HOBHOUSEThe House is asked to remit a sum of £151 for principal and £113 for interest upon a loan by the Commissioners to Eyemouth Harbour. The sum was repayable out of the surplus of what was called the Herring Brand fees. That surplus could only be used for the year for which the amount is chargeable. There was a deficiency for 1906–7. The House is asked to make good the deficiency under the Act passed in 1901.
