§ MR. WEDGWOOD (Newcastle-under-Lyme)I beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the re-surveying of alienated lands in Negri Sembilan, in the Federated Malay States, is being done at public expense.
§ MR. CHURCHILLI understand that former surveys have been found to be defective, and that in consequence what is contemplated is practically a complete re-survey of the State, the cost of which will be undertaken by the Government.
§ MR. WEDGWOODwas understood to ask if the re-survey would not add to the value of the lands and whether the charge might not be legitimately charged on the land.
§ MR. CHURCHILLpromised to bear the point in mind.
