THEODORE TAYLORI beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he has now received from the Governor of Hong Kong his Report as to what action is being taken to close the opium dons there in fulfilment of the instructions to do so of the Secretary of State on 5th May last; whether anything has yet been done; and whether he will lay upon the Table the correspondence on the subject.
§ COLONEL SEELYThe Governor's recommendations are now under the consideration of His Majesty's Government. Correspondence on the subject will be laid before Parliament in due course.
