HC Deb 29 May 1907 vol 174 c1639
*MR. REES

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he can now state what powers, if any, are given to British delegates to The Hague Conference to bind this country to limit its naval and military forces.

MR. CHURCHILL (for Sir EDWARD GREY)

My right hon. friend can only repeat the Answer already given to a similar Question on the 13th and 20th March. Any Convention which the delegates sign will be subject to the approval of His Majesty's Government and the subsequent ratification of the Sovereign.
