DR. RUTHERFORD (Middlesex, Brentford)I beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether, in view of the cost of armaments to the taxpayers of the United Kingdom, it would be possible at the forthcoming Colonial Conference to obtain an expression of opinion as to the extent to which the Colonies themselves regard this expenditure as necessary for their protection.
