HC Deb 17 April 1907 vol 172 cc973-4
MR. BRIDGEMAN (Shropshire, Oswestry)

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether the decision to make the tonnage of the three new battleships now building 650 tons greater than that of the "Dreadnought" was the outcome of experience gained in the trials of the "Dreadnought."

*MR. EDMUND ROBERTSON

The increase of 650 tons by which the tonnage of the new battleships exceeds that of the "Dreadnought" was decided upon in order that certain improvements might be embodied, and had no relation to any experience gained in the trials of the "Dreadnought."
