I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether any assistance will be given by the Irish Local Government Board to prevent the overflowing of the River Ross, in the Killavullen district, County Cork, by deepening the river and building up the banks, and thus prevent the dangerous inundations recently there experienced?

The Local Government Board have no power to give any assistance in carrying out improvements in connection with the river mentioned.
