HC Deb 30 January 1891 vol 349 c1397
MR. LAWSON (St. Pancras, W.)

I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury what course he proposes to take in respect to the Public and Private Bills affecting the water supply of the Metropolis now before this House?

THE FIRST LORD OF THE TREASURY (Mr. W. H. SMITH, Strand, Westminster)

I think it will be expedient, when they have been read a second time, to refer them to a strong Hybrid Committee, or to a Joint Committee of both Houses; but I am not able, without further consultation, to give a more definite reply.
