HC Deb 15 May 1890 vol 344 c950
MR. SUMMERS

I beg to ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will cause a valuation to be made of all existing public house property, in order that it may be possible for the Local Authorities to give practical effect to Clause 9 of the Local Taxation (Customs and Excise) Duties Bill, which provides that in estimating the value of the interest of any person in any licensed premises no account shall be taken of any increased value due to the operation of the Act?

MR. GOSCHEN

I venture to suggest to the hon. Member that this is a matter which would be better dealt with in Committee on the Local Taxation (Customs and Excise) Duties Bill rather than in an answer across the floor of the House.
