reported Her Majesty's Answer to the humble Address of the 31st day of March last, as followeth:— Gentlemen of the House of Commons. I have received your Address praying that I will "withhold My Consent from that part of the Scheme of the Educational Endowments (Scotland) Commissioners for the management of the Endowments in the County of Banff, known as the Redhythe Bursaries, George Smith's Bounty, and the Stuart Mortification, which consists of and is contained in following words of Section 26 of the said Scheme (that is to say) 'or with the consent of the Governors at any School where higher instruction is efficiently given which the Bursar could attend while living with parents or relatives.' I have given directions for these words to be omitted accordingly in compliance with your advice.
