HC Deb 14 March 1890 vol 342 c851

(By Order).

Order for Second Reading read.

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That the Second Reading of the Bill be postponed until Tuesday."

MR. R. G. WEBSTER (St. Pancras, E.)

Before that Motion is agreed to I should like to make one or two observations to the House. This Bill contains a great many novel propositions. It appears to me to be nothing more nor less than a measure to give compulsory powers to take over—

* MR. SPEAKER

Order, order! The remarks of the hon. Member will be appropriate when the Bill comes on for discussion; but the Motion now before the House is to postpone the Second Reading until Tuesday next.

Question put, and agreed to.
