§ SIR J. SWINBURNE (Staffordshire, Lichfield)I beg to ask the First Lord of the Admiralty when the results of the survey of the mouths of the Zambesi River, which was made last year under the direction of the Admiralty, will be published?
§ LORD G. HAMILTONNo complete survey of the mouths of the Zambesi was made last year. Her Majesty's ship stork, however, when entering the 330 Chinde mouth of the river, noted the sounding and sent in an incomplete sketch of this entrance. In default of a survey this sketch was published in March last as a chart. A "notice to mariners" containing all the information then in the possession of the Admiralty had been previously issued in October, 1889.
