I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he is now in a position to give the House any information as to what course the Government is likely to adopt with regard to the proposed International Conference on the condition of Labour in Foreign Countries?

Her Majesty's Government have expressed their willingness to take part in a Conference proposed by the German Emperor to examine into grave questions with respect to the welfare of the working classes, the solution of which may be facilitated by international co-operation, in accordance with the principles of legislation accepted in this country.
