HC Deb 08 December 1890 vol 349 c744
٭(7.3.) THE FIRST LORD OF THE TREASURY (Mr. W. H. SMITH, Strand, Westminster)

As the Government are not prepared to proceed with the consideration of private Members' Bills at this stage of the Session, it is my duty to move the adjournment of the House at once; but before I do so I would appeal to the hon. Members who have Bills on the Paper to postpone them until after Christmas.

MR. J. MORLEY

What will be the business when the House re-assembles?

٭MR. W. H. SMITH

On Thursday, January 22nd, it is proposed to take, first, the Private Bill Procedure (Scotland) Bill, to be followed by the Tithe Bill, and to go on with the Tithe Bill on the Thursday and on the Monday following.

House adjourned at five minutes after Seven o'clock.
