MATTHEWSThe artistic authorities of whom I spoke the other night were consulted by me in a strictly private and confidential way, and I do not feel justified in mentioning their names in public. I take upon myself the full responsibility for the appointment of Mr. Norman Shaw, and I think his work justifies his appointment.
