I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade whether the Committee of Inquiry into the boiler explosion at Uphall, Mid-Calder, appointed under "The Boiler Explosion Act, 1882," has yet reported; if so, whether, and when the Judgment will be laid upon the Table; and whether the Report by Mr. Lewis, official of the Board of Trade, will also be presented?

The formal investigation into the boiler explosion at Uphall, Mid-Calder was held at Bathgate on the 10th, 11th,' and 17th inst., and the Commissioners delivered Judgment on the last-named day, but their Report has not yet been received. When it is received it will be published in the usual course. The Report of Mr. Lewis will not be made public, as the formal investigation took place subsequently.
