HC Deb 15 March 1889 vol 333 c1807
MR. HOYLE (Lancashire, S.E., Heywood)

I beg to ask the Postmaster General, if the vacancy at the Post Office, Bamford, near Rochdale, has been filled; and, if so, whether the appointment has been made in accordance with the wishes of the principal inhabitants, as expressed in a memorial forwarded in the usual way?

* MR. RAIKES

Mrs. Grindrod, who is, I understand, the person on whose behalf the inhabitants petitioned, has been nominated Sub-Postmistress at Bamford and, if eligible and able to perform the duties of the office in a satifactory manner, she will in due course be appointed.
