HOZIER (Lanarkshire, S.)I beg to ask the Secretary to the Local Government Board whether, for the guidance of the Committee on the Local Government (Scotland) Bills, he will lay on the Table of the House a Return of the costs of the elections for County Councillors in the various counties of England and Wales?
§ MR. LONGA Return has been ordered by the House of the costs of the elections of County Councillors chargeable on the county rate in England and Wales. The Return is not yet complete, in consequence of the costs in some in- 1007 stances not having as yet been taxed. Immediately the Return is complete it will be laid on the Table of the House.
