HC Deb 20 June 1889 vol 337 c319
MR. J. ROWLANDS (Finsbury, East)

Will the right hon. Gentleman the First Lord of the Treasury be prepared to-morrow to give any answer to the memorial which has beem signed by all the London Members outside the official circle with regard to the Post Office Sites Bill?

* MR. W. H. SMITH

I think it would be highly improper for me to enter into a discussion on the Post Office Sites Bill until the Bill is before the House. I cannot undertake, therefore, to give any answer at present.

MR. J. ROWLANDS

Will the right hon. Gentleman put the Bill down for such a time that we shall have an opportunity of expressing our opinions with regard to it?

* MR. W. H. SMITH

I have already stated that if the Scotch Universities Bill be read a second time to night we propose to take the Post Office Sites Bill as the second order to-morrow, and I anticipate there will be ample time for its discussion.
