HC Deb 19 July 1889 vol 338 cc853-4
MR. FARQUHARSON (Dorsetshire, W.)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether his attention has been called to the case of Mary Bamber, who died at Adlington, near Chorley, on Wednesday last, from hydrophobia caused by the bite of a cat and, whether, with a view to stamping out hydrophobia, he will take steps to enforce the muzzling of cats as well as dogs?

MR. MATTHEWS

No, Sir; I have no information as to this case. As to the general question, I have nothing to add to the answers which I gave to a similar question put by my hon. Friend, yesterday.
