I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War, what are the terms as to pension or otherwise upon which the late Director of Ordnance Factories vacated that post; and whether the appointment of his successor has yet been made?

The late Director General of Ordnance Factories resigned his ap- pointment, and receives no pension in virtue of the office resigned. He retired at the same time from the Royal Artillery, on the retired pay to which his service in that corps entitled him. No successor has yet been appointed.
