HC Deb 16 April 1889 vol 335 c608
MR. D. A. THOMAS

asked the First Commissioner of Works whether the practice and rule of the Ordinance Survey Department was to survey districts with a town population of not less than 4,000 on the 1–500 scale; whether he was aware that the Mountain Ash Local Board district, now containing a town population of over 12,000, had only been surveyed on the 1–2,500 scale; and if he could state when the survey of that district upon the larger scale would be undertaken?

MR. PLUNKET

The question only appeared on the paper this morning, and I have not had time to obtain information. If the hon. Member will be good enough to repeat the question after the holidays I shall be glad to answer it.
