HC Deb 15 May 1888 vol 326 cc333-4
MR. JOHN MORLEY (Newcastle-upon-Tyne)

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether he would consent to lay on the Table a Return connected with the administration of the Criminal Law and Procedure (Ireland) Act, 1887, containing the following particulars: (1) Names of all Persons who have been proceeded against under that Act down to Whitsuntide, 1888; (2) the specific Offence charged against each Person; (3) the Result of the Trial; (4) Cases in which there was an Appeal; (5) the Result of the Appeal?

THE CHIEF SECRETARY (Mr. A J. BALFOUR.) (Manchester, E.)

I have no objection; but the right hon. Gentleman will allow me to make inquiries in Dublin as to whether there is any difficulty in the way of preparing such a Return.
