Motion made, and Question proposed, That, in lieu of the duties of Customs now charged on rum and on British and Irish spirits imported into the Isle of Alan, there shall be charged the duties following (that is to say):—

Rum, including shrub, of the British s. d.
Possessions, the gallon 8 6
British and Irish spirits, not otherwise exempted from the payment of duty, the gallon 8 6

Objection taken; and, it being Midnight, the Chairman left the Chair to report Progress; Committee to sit again To-morrow.
