HC Deb 13 March 1888 vol 323 cc1070-1
DR. CAMERON (Glasgow, College)

asked the Lord Advocate, Whether Government will supply seed when necessary to the destitute peasantry in the Western Islands of Scotland on terms similar to those on which, it has been decided to provide it to the inhabitants of Achill Island?

THE LORD ADVOCATE (Mr. J. H. A. MACDONALD) (Edinburgh and St. Andrew's Universities)

The attention of the Government has been given to the condition of the destitute persons in the Western Islands; and the Board of Supervision will take such steps as may appear to them to be necessary under the circumstances of the case.
