asked the Secretary of State for War, Since the establishment of the new Remount Committee, how many Yeomanry Regiments have been visited by remount agents with a view to purchasing horses; how many bought; how many purchased from private individuals; and how many from dealers who exclusively supplied them under the old system?

Twenty six Yeomanry Regiments have been visited by remount agents with a view of purchasing horses within the last six weeks. Ten horses have been purchased from the Yeomanry, 86 from private individuals, and 991 from dealers, from the majority of whom purchases have been made for the first time.
