asked the First Lord of the Treasury, What was the total amount of advance sanctioned up to July 14, under "The Purchase of Land (Ireland) Act, 1885," and the sum applied for up to the same date, respecting which no decision has been arrived at?

(who replied) said, the Land Commissioners have furnished the figures up to the 17th of July. They are as follows:—Total amount of advances sanctioned, £4,450,325; sum applied for, respecting which no decision has been yet arrived at, £739,623.
