HC Deb 23 February 1888 vol 322 cc1246-7
MR. PORTMAN (Dorsetshire, N.)

asked the Vice President of the Committee of Council on Education, If he can state whether any progress has been made since the end of last Session towards the re-opening of the Milton Abbas School, Blandford, for boys, in accordance with the wish of the inhabitants of that town and district; and, if he can inform him as to the present attitude of the Charity Commissioners with regard to the matter?

THE VICE PRESIDENT (Sir WILLIAM: HART DYKE) (Kent, Dartford)

The scheme of the Commissioners in regard to Milton Abbas School has been disapproved; and I presume there is no legal impediment to the re-opening of the school by the Trustees, subject to any new scheme the Commissioners may in future propose.
