asked Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, If he can state how many English tobacco manufacturers have been found in possession of tobacco containing moisture in excess of the proportion allowed by law?

The number of English tobacco manufacturers who have been found in possession of tobacco containing more than 35 per cent of moisture is 51. The number in Scotland is 8; in Ireland, 12. They have all been cautioned.
