asked the Postmaster General, Whether he has yet settled the amount of compensation to be paid to the railway and telegraph clerks who have been deprived of their commission on the sale of stamps?

In reply to the hon. Member, I am glad to be able to state that the terms of compensation have been settled with several Railway Companies, and are in progress with the others.
