HC Deb 23 May 1887 vol 315 cc884-5
MR. H. T. DAVENPORT (Staffordshire, Leek)

asked the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, What are the facilities which this Government are prepared to afford at the coming Paris Exhibition to English exhibitors; and, whether he is aware of the importance which they attach to the appointment by their Government of some person to assist and advise them and to protect their interests?

THE UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE (Sir JAMES FERGUSSON) (Manchester, N.E.)

The particular facilities to be afforded will depend chiefly upon the number and the wishes of intending exhibitors from this country; and steps will be taken to ascertain these when the arrangements for the Exhibition proposed to be held in 1889 shall have assumed a formal shape.
