HC Deb 29 March 1887 vol 312 c1781
DR. TANNER (Cork Co., Mid)

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether County Inspector Brownrigg has paid the fine lately imposed on him by the Youghal Bench of Magistrates for assault?

THE CHIEF SECRETARY (Mr. A. J. BALFOUR) (Manchester, E.)

The fine having been in the nominal sum of a farthing, without costs, I have no doubt that, as usual in such cases, it was neither paid nor levied.
