HC Deb 22 March 1887 vol 312 cc1149-50
MR. J. B. BALFOUR (Clackmannan, &c.)

asked the Lord Advocate, Whether he intends to introduce a Bill, similar to the Conveyancing (Scotland) Act (1874) Amendment Bill of last year, or any other measure, directed to redress the grievances which that Bill proposed to remedy?

THE LORD ADVOCATE (Mr. J. H. A. MACDONALD) (Edinburgh and St. Andrew's Universities)

Owing to the lateness of the hour at which the House adjourned, I was not aware that the Question had been put down on the Paper for to-day. But I hope the hon. Member will be satisfied with the assurance that the matter is receiving our careful consideration; and, in the course of a few days, I hope to be able to toll him precisely what we propose to do.
