MR. HOBHOUSE (Somerset, E.)

asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, Whether his attention has been called to the— Return of the value of live stock and crops, showing the numbers, at various ages, of cattle and sheep, and the estimated produce of the crops, with the average prices of each year and of each kind from 1881 to 1886, prepared for the Royal Commission on "The Land Law (Ireland) Act, 1881," and mentioned at page 9 of the Report of the said Commission; and, whether he would consent to a similar Return being prepared for England and Wales, so as to assist landowners and tenant farmers in effecting equitable re-adjustments of rents?

asked the hon. Member to be kind enough to postpone the Question for a few days, as the evidence taken before the Royal Commission, and the details referred to in the Question, had not yet been submitted to the Government.
