HC Deb 19 August 1887 vol 319 c1109
MR. PROVAND (Glasgow, Blackfriars, &c.)

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty, When he will lay upon the Table of the House detailed Reports on the casualties, accidents, and breakdowns which took place on board Her Majesty's ships during the late Naval Manœuvres, with the view of satisfying the public mind in reference to the numerous statements in the public Press respecting the serious character of the above occurrence?

THE FIRST LORD (Lord GEORGE HAMILTON) (Middlesex, Baling)

I propose, as I have before stated, to lay such a Report on the Table of the House, which will show that the casualties and accidents on board Her Majesty's ships during the late Naval Manœuvres have been exaggerated.
