HC Deb 21 September 1886 vol 309 cc1094-5
SIR THOMAS ESMONDE (Dublin Co., S.)

asked the Secretary of State for War, If the Government will accept the offer for the martello tower at Sea Point, made in July last by the Blackrock Town Commissioners, in the event of the tenders now being called for by the Royal Engineer Office, Dublin, not being held sufficient?

THE SURVEYOR GENERAL OF ORDNANCE (Mr. NORTHCOTE) (Exeter)

(who replied) said: Offers for the construction of the Martello Tower at Sea Point are open to public competition, and tenders will be received. Until they are so received I cannot give a fuller answer to the Question.
