HC Deb 20 September 1886 vol 309 c982
MR. EWART (Belfast, N.)

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland the following Question, of which he had given him private Notice:—Whether or not the statement in The Times this morning is correct, with respect to an attack by a riotous mob on the Davis Street Police Barracks, Belfast, last night, the object being to release a prisoner; and, whether he can give the House any further information on the subject?

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER (Lord RANDOLPH CHURCHILL) (Paddington, S.)

My right hon. Friend has left the House; but it is obvious that that is a Question of which Notice ought to be given.
