BIGGARasked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Whether it is a fact that Constables Kelly and Clarkin, on protection duty at Cornafane, in county Cavan, on the land of Adam Johnstone, detected two emergency men in charge of the emergency cattle on the same land in the act of setting fire to the house on the night of the 17th–18th instant; and, if so, whether the emergency men have been arrested and will be brought to trial?
