HC Deb 31 August 1886 vol 308 cc889-90
MR. PINKERTON (Galway)

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, If the removal of the Navigation Works on the Lower Bann, between Coleraine and Lough Neagh, which obstruct the free flow of the river and cause the annual flooding of 30,000 acres, are included in the Government scheme?

THE CHIEF SECRETARY (Sir MICHAEL HICKS-BEACH) (Bristol, W.)

In considering the drainage of the Bann the Commission must, I think, also consider the effect on the drainage of the navigation works referred to.
