asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies, Whether information has been received at the Colonial Office of certain alleged depredations by a Spanish man-of-war off the Island of Jamaica by boarding vessels and searching for arms and ammunition; and, whether the Government are prepared to take steps to put an end to this gross violation of the law of nations?
