HC Deb 12 May 1885 vol 298 cc366-7
THE MARQUESS OF HARTINGTON

With the permission of the House I wish to make a correction in the reply I made yesterday to a Question by the hon. Member for Sligo County (Mr. Sexton) as to alleged rioting at Downpatrick. I read a telegram to the House in which occurred the words—"It is known that Colonel Waring recently attended Orange meetings." From the written Report I have received this morning it appears that, as I thought might be the case, there was an important omission in the telegram, and that the sentence quoted should have commenced—"It is not known."
