HC Deb 11 August 1885 vol 300 c1730
COLONEL NOLAN

asked the Postmaster General, If his attention has been drawn to the fact that it takes two days to forward a letter from Whitegate to Woodford, about eight miles distant; and if he would take some step to facilitate postal communication between Whitegate and the remainder of the county?

THE POSTMASTER GENERAL (Lord JOHN MANNERS)

I am much obliged to the hon. and gallant Member for calling attention to this matter. I have directed inquiries to be made, with a view of remedying the inconvenience complained of.
