HC Deb 07 November 1884 vol 293 cc1215-6
MR. O'SULLIVAN

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, What official position is held by Mr. Richard Good, of Aherlow, Cork, which enables him to act as intermedium between the Irish Government and her suspended officials; and, what salary is attached to the position?

MR. CAMPBELL-BANNERMAN

Mr. Good holds no official position whatever under the Irish Government, and is not in receipt of any official salary. I am not aware what ground can be alleged for supposing that he has acted as an intermediary between the Irish Government and any official of theirs; and the Irish Government repudiate any such suggestion.
