HC Deb 20 May 1884 vol 288 c852
MR. GIBSON

remarked that the Chief Secretary had promised to introduce the Government measure for the amendment of the Purchase Clauses of the Land Act before Whitsuntide. Could the right hon. Gentleman state on what night, and what hour, he would be in a position to introduce it?

MR. TREVELYAN

replied, that on Thursday he should be in a position to state when he proposed to introduce the measure, which was complicated, and of a large nature. He was fully in mind of the pledge that had been given.
